You can record your teacher's comment as well as your own. Simply choose Teacher instead of Student at the bottom of the Mistake Editor window.

Because in default, Pronunciation Patterns records your voice as the selected word. Therefore, when you reselect the word and press the F4 key, it will play back your recording for that particular word. It is very helpful feature when you just want to record your voice and let your teacher help you identify your pronunciation errors later on.

 
3. If you are a Windows Vista user, use the latest Speech Recognition program to check your pronunciation.
 

Pronunciation Patterns works with Windows Vista Speech Recognition Program to help you improve your pronunciation. You can speak any words in the list, the program will play the word you speak for you. If your pronunciation is not recognized, the program will highlight all the possible words for you and you can try it again.

Pronunciation Patterns Ways to Practice Pronunciation to Help you Perfect Your Pronunciation
1. Practice word pronunciation by using patterns or rules.
 

The best way to practice pronunciation is to practice a group of similar words together because it will help you pronounce out the new words. For example, if you know how to say the word lake or make, it will be easy for you to say the words, rake, sake, wake, etc because they share the same ending sound ake.

 

1. Right click the list box to practice the words by patterns or choose the patterns in our online tutorial.

2. Set how many times you want to play the sound and words.

3. Press F5/F6 to let the program to play the words automatically for you.

2. Create your own word list to practice with.
 

If you feel comfortable with the pronunciation of some words but not others, Pronunciation Patterns allows you to add any words from our 4,000 word list or download word audio file from the web to your own word list to help you practice pronunciation.

Please practice English pronunciation with Pronunciation Patterns at least 15-20 minutes a day for at least 30 days to see the your improvements.

 
3. Let Pronunciation Patterns play the words or the sounds automatically to help you practice.

You can right click the list box to practice the words by patterns. Moreover, you can press F5/F6 to play the words automatically for you.With this auto-play option, you can practice English pronunciation while doing other tasks.
