First, the current speech recognition solution is not perfect and it requires high accuracy. However, it still can be of use to help you improve your English pronunciation. Here are some tips: if the program does not recognize your pronunciation, it does not mean you mispronounce the word. You can ask your native English speaking friend to help you check your pronunciation. On the other hand, if the program does recognize your pronunciation, it means most of Americans will understand you. In the program, if the program recognize your pronunciation of a same word over 10 times, the program considers you have mastered the pronunciation of the word and add it as a completed word. It is highly recommended to have Windows Vista or 7. To enable our speech recognition solution, you just need to select a word in the list and click "Step 4. Enable speech recognition," then you just speak the selected word to have our speech recognition to check your pronunciation for you. Remember that perfect practice makes perfect and don't be frustrated simply because the program does not recognize your pronunciation.
