Dear Visitor,
First, I congratulate
you on realizing the importance of having excellent
pronunciation. If you are determined to perfect your
English pronunciation, I encourage you to read on
and discover how we can help you.
Whether you like it or
not, your pronunciation is often judged to determine
your other abilities. A few years ago, I was not
respected by my colleagues for my bad pronunciation.
I, also, had to correct my poor pronunciation. Now I
am proud to say that not only have I perfected my
English pronunciation, I have
received my MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, one of the top MBA programs,
in the U.S., and have found new confidence in my
ability to communicate. I hope that my
experience in learning pronunciation can help you
improve and perfect your English
pronunciation.
After improving my own
English pronunciation
and
experiencing how difficult it was to do, I
determined to develop an effective English
pronunciation software solution.
Pronunciation Patterns is an
American English pronunciation software which groups
4,000 commonly used English words by patterns and
has hundreds of phonics rules to help you learn,
correct, improve, and perfect your English
pronunciation within one year.
Now, I would like
to ask whether the following questions are true of
you. They were true of me as I was struggling to
improve my English pronunciation a few years ago.
Do you
mispronounce English words when you speak English often because you just
can't remember the correct pronunciation?
Pronunciation Patterns uses phonics to help you
recall the correct pronunciation of English words.
Phonics have been used by American children in
learning to read words aloud and recognize their
meanings. I found phonics extremely useful in
remembering a word's correct pronunciation.
Here is one of the
American phonics rules used by American children implemented in Pronunciation
Patterns:
This image demonstrates the two vowels rule. The two vowels
rule states that
A
is
pronounced as
the long A
sound
and I is not pronounced in the word
brain. With this
rule in mind, you will remember the pronunciation of the
word
brain
as
B
R
AI
N
rather than remembering it in the IPA format as
b
r
eI
n.
Now you tell me whether you prefer remembering just the
letter
A
over remembering Greek symbols like
eI. If you prefer using IPA or APA to learn English pronunciation, the professional version 4.0 provides both IPA and APA phonetic transcripts to 4,000 words to help you learn pronunciation. Now you can download the demo for free to learn the long A sound and practice hundreds of words containing the long A sound.
Do you have trouble
pronouncing some words and sounds when you speak English?
Pronunciation Patterns provides
a mouth muscle exercise.
In this exercise, you will learn the pronunciation of each
word gradually. For example, you first learn
the long A sound,
then
the combined sound of the consonant B
and the long A sound, finally you will learn how to say
the word
bake.
You can practice a
list of sounds such as
ba!!,
ca!!,
cha!!,
da!!,
fa!!,
etc repeatedly to help you build the mouth muscularity you
will need in order to pronounce clearly.
You can download the demo and try
it yourself. Moreover, we have hundreds of words for each vowel and
consonant to help
you practice English pronunciation. Once you
build mouth muscularity and feel
comfortable in saying these sounds, you will not fall back to
your previous pronunciation unconsciously. Consequently,
your accent will gradually fade away.
Do you have
trouble saying some particularly long words such as
particularly?
With our sound diagram feature, you can break long words into two or three parts
which will help you learn words
such as particularly. Click
here to learn more about the features of
Pronunciation Patterns.
Do you find
that you don't know how to pronounce certain sounds correctly?
The
professional edition
provides a set of video clips which will help you
position your tongue for each vowel and consonant,
ensuring you pronounce them correctly.
Do you have trouble
distinguishing words such as well, while, wheel, and whale?
While other software
programs use pairs to
test your
listening comprehension, the
profession edition compiles all similar
English words for you to practice with. For example, when you click on the
word
will, the system will list
whale,
wheel,
ill,
while,
wall,
well,
and
wool. Moreover, you can
instruct Pronunciation
Patterns to randomly pick
a word from these words to test your listening comprehension.
Do you use International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA)
or
American Phonetic Alphabet (APA) to learn
English pronunciation? Pronunciation Patterns
provides both IPA and APA to help you learn
English pronunciation. Now, you can learn both IPA and APA at the same time
and never get confused between them.
Do you
often stress the wrong syllables, making your accent
difficult to understand? Pronunciation Patterns
colors the schwa letter in blue to show that
the schwa letter should
not
be stressed. Here is the word
abandon.
You see the letter
A
and
O
are colored in blue, meaning the stress is on the
red letter
A
as
a'bandon.
Learning schwa sound
is very important in learning English pronunciation.
Now, it is time
for you to
download a free copy of the Pronunciation
Patterns demo to find out how
Pronunciation Patterns can help you solve these problems
for you. Please don't wait another year to improve your pronunciation. I encourage
you to read our frequently asked
questions and
what takes to learn English pronunciation. We are looking
forward to serving you as a Pronunciation
Patterns user.
Sincerely yours,
